We wrote this in plain language on purpose. The goal is for you to actually understand what you're agreeing to. If something isn't clear, email us at legal@sinergy.app and we'll explain it.

Who We Are

Sinergy is a community-driven social and dating platform built to connect people through verified shared interests. The app, website, and all related services are operated by Sinergy Inc. ("Sinergy," "we," "us," or "our").

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Sinergy app, website at sinergy.app, and any other products or features we offer (collectively, the "Platform").

Acceptance of These Terms

By creating an account, downloading the app, or using any part of the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, please do not use Sinergy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify you (via email or in-app notice) at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use after that date means you accept the updated Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use any part of Sinergy. By using the Platform, you represent that you meet this requirement.

Sinergy is not available to anyone who has been previously removed from the Platform, or who is prohibited from using it under applicable law.

You may only create and maintain one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent a ban or suspension is a violation of these Terms.

Your Account

When you register, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for keeping your account information up to date.

Your account is personal to you. Do not share your login credentials with anyone. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account — whether or not you authorized it.

If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, notify us immediately at support@sinergy.app.

We may verify your identity, phone number, or photos as part of our safety and anti-fraud systems. Verification does not transfer ownership of your account or imply any endorsement by Sinergy.

The Sinergy Platform

Sinergy is a community-first matching platform. Here is what that means in practice:

Communities: Interest-based groups (e.g., CrossFit, Catholics, Gamers) that you join by passing a knowledge quiz. Membership in a community appears on your profile and is used in our matching algorithm.
Quizzes (Provas): Fast, gamified tests that verify your knowledge of a community's subject matter. Passing a quiz is the only way to unlock a community. You may retry a quiz subject to limits we set (for example, once per day for higher levels).
Levels: Each community has levels 1–10. Higher levels indicate deeper knowledge or engagement. Levels are earned through gameplay, never purchased or self-reported.
Matching: Our system uses your verified communities, levels, and behavioral signals to suggest people with genuine overlap. Faces are shown, but only within a pre-qualified pool.
Relationship / Community Mode: Users in a relationship can activate Community Mode, which removes their profile from the dating pool and focuses the experience on communities and games.

Sinergy is designed for meaningful connection (love or friendship). It is not optimized for casual hookups. You may use the Platform for that purpose, but you do so at your own risk and subject to all applicable conduct rules.

Conduct Rules

Sinergy works because people treat each other with respect. These rules protect everyone on the Platform, including you.

You agree NOT to:

Create a fake profile, use someone else's identity, or misrepresent who you are in any way.
Post content that is harassing, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit (without the appropriate consent features, if enabled), or that promotes violence.
Use the Platform to solicit money, financial products, or goods from other users.
Send spam, bulk messages, or use automated tools to interact with users or the Platform.
Attempt to exploit quiz systems — using bots, answer-sharing groups, or any other means to earn levels you did not earn through your own knowledge.
Scrape, copy, or extract any data from the Platform without written permission.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the Platform's technical operations.
Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.

Violations can result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent removal, at our discretion.

Content You Share

You keep ownership of anything you create and share on Sinergy (photos, messages, profile content, etc.). By posting content, you grant Sinergy a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, display, reproduce, and distribute your content solely to operate and improve the Platform.

This license ends when you delete the content or close your account, subject to reasonable technical delays (backups, etc.).

You represent that you own or have the rights to all content you share, and that your content does not violate anyone else's rights or these Terms.

Do not post content featuring minors (anyone under 18) in a romantic or sexualized context. This is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account removal and may be reported to law enforcement.

Premium Features & Payments

The core Sinergy experience — taking quizzes, earning levels, building your profile, and receiving matches — is free.

We offer optional paid features, which may include (but are not limited to):

Match Reveals: Pay to reveal the identity of a high-synergy potential match before they appear in your normal feed.
Visibility Boosts: Temporarily increase your profile's prominence in the matching pool.
Premium Filters: Access more granular filters for communities, levels, and other verified signals.
AI Features: Enhanced conversation assistance or match insights.

Prices are shown in-app in US dollars (USD) before purchase. All purchases are final unless otherwise required by applicable law. We do not offer refunds for unused portions of paid features, except where required by your app store's policies or applicable law. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

We reserve the right to change prices and feature availability with reasonable advance notice.

Intellectual Property

Everything on the Platform that is not user-generated content — including the Sinergy name, logo, quiz content, matching algorithms, design, software, and text — belongs to Sinergy Inc. or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not use our name, logo, or trademarks without written permission. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works based on the Platform.

Safety & Moderation

We take safety seriously, especially for women and other vulnerable groups. Our safety measures include:

Invite-only onboarding during the beta period.
Photo verification with liveness detection.
ML-based anti-spam detection in real time.
Invisible user reporting and blocking tools.
Human review for escalated reports.

If you encounter content or behavior that violates these Terms or makes you feel unsafe, please use the in-app report button. We review reports and take action, which may include removing content or terminating accounts.

While we work hard to keep the Platform safe, we cannot guarantee that every user will behave appropriately. You are responsible for your own safety — meet new people in public places and trust your instincts.

Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties — express, implied, or statutory — about the Platform's reliability, availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Sinergy does not guarantee that you will find a match, partner, or friend. Outcomes depend on the users on the Platform, your own behavior, and factors outside our control.

We are not responsible for the actions or content of other users. Background checks are not performed on users.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sinergy Inc., its officers, employees, agents, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Platform — including, without limitation, any harm from interactions with other users.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any cause of action will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or liability for certain types of damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your profile is removed from the matching pool. We may retain certain information as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, posed a safety risk to users, or for any other reason at our discretion. If your account is terminated for a serious violation (e.g., harassment, fraud, creating fake profiles), you may not create a new account.

Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.

We'd prefer to resolve any dispute informally first. Before filing a claim, please email us at legal@sinergy.app with a description of your concern. We'll try to respond within 30 days.

If informal resolution fails, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform will be resolved by binding individual arbitration under the American Arbitration Association (AAA) Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court — except that either party may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court.

Class action waiver: You may only bring claims against Sinergy in your individual capacity. You agree not to participate in any class, collective, or representative proceeding.

You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first agreeing to these Terms by emailing legal@sinergy.app with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out."

General

Entire Agreement. These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy and any other policies linked herein) constitute the entire agreement between you and Sinergy regarding the Platform.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
Waiver. Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
Assignment. You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms. We may assign ours in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Third-Party Links. The Platform may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
